Simon's Mango Tree pays the university fees for students who have graduated from Guo Village Senior School. In return we ask that, once they have graduated, they teach at the village school to help with the teacher shortage in the school. Currently we have three students in university studying politics or education. Evelyn, is in her second year studying politics. Evelyn is the first girl EVER from the village of Guo to go to university. The other two, Emmanuel and Vera, have just started year one of teacher training college.
We are proud to have sponsored two students, Raphael and Eric, who have completed their further education. Eric is currently teaching at Guo Village School.
We are very grateful to our existing donors who have sponsored these students to attend university. Without financial help, they would never have been able to go to university.
We are passionate about this project and want to continue sending as many students to university as we can. To do this we need a guaranteed source of funding to cover their entire education which, depending on the course is two or three years long. Each student's fees and accommodation is approximately £850 to £1000 per year. Please contact us if you can help. If you would like, we will put you in touch with the student who you support.
